A LITTLE ABOUT US

DAKLEY KENNELS was established in Canberra, Australia in 1966 with a beautiful miniature smooth female, Gretold Gigi, obtained from Don Ferguson of Gretold Kennels, being the foundation bitch. Over the next 30 years (which included a move to the Sunshine State of Queensland) and many shows and litters later, the Kennels are now established as one of the States leading exhibitors and breeders of ‘mini smooths’.

BRISBANE ROYAL 2003

Following his success at the National Dachshund Show in Sydney in April where he won the Dog Reserve Challenge, Ch Dakley Noahs Shem continued with his good form by taking out BEST OF BREED at the 2003 Brisbane Royal to pick up a total of 21 points. It was almost an historic double for DAKLEY KENNELS with his litter sister Ch Dakley Sarai taking the bitch Reserve Challenge.

SHEM TAKES AUST BRED IN SHOW AT BEERWAH

Dakley Noach’s Shem continued his outstanding success in the showring in 2003 by taking out Australian Bred of Show at the Caboolture Kennel Club Championship show at Beerwah on 22 November. This show attracted 1100 entries even though it clashed with the World Cup Rugby Union Final. Unfortunately for exhibitors torrential rain throughout the show put a damper on proceedings with the result that general specials did not take place until well into the night.
